He was the MAIYEGUN of Aramoko Ekiti, ASIWAJU of Aramoko Ekiti, JAGUNMOLU of Awo Ekiti, SOBALOJU of Ido Ekiti, AARE OF Ipoti Ekiti among others.
He recieved the National Honours Award of the Officer of the Federal Republic (O.F.R.) in September 1997.
He won the “Man of the Year” award on January 8, 1978 from Daily Times Nigeria along with the late President Anwar Sadat of Egypt in recognition of his contributions to Architecture in Nigeria while in service.
He was listed on the “Who is Who” in the Commonwealth by Newswatch in 1979.
He was awarded a D. Sc. (Honoris Causa) in Architecture by the International University
Foundation of North Carolina in the US in 1987, and the much coveted “Albert Einstein Gold Medal” by the Albert Einstein University Foundation in Malta in 1988.
He was listed among “1000 best professionals in the World”.
